I have seen Connor
make significant progress that can be attributed to you and your
team’s coaching. I realize he has a long tough road ahead of him
to maximize his baseball potential, but his involvement in your
program will make a difference. He’s not the same kid he was 3
weeks ago when he came over for a try-out. He is definitely
being challenged to commit 100% of himself, to be responsible
both “to himself and his teammates”, and to execute his Job with
no excuses. I believe these to be life lessons best learned in a
competitive “Team” environment. I don’t know if you signed-up
for the Parenting aspect of this but improving his “personal
responsibility” is a significant part of his development. My
overall opinion is that if he happens to develop the necessary
Baseball skills that will send him on to college in this
process, then that’s only a Bonus. Please keep up the pressure
on him; I think we are just now uncovering the kid’s heart and
his ability to focus. Thank you.

Was just sitting here reminiscing
about the past because Josh graduates this Saturday. He had a great
senior year and I was just looking back and thinking of the people
who made a difference in Josh's life. I know that he really
enjoyed playing for you and I would just like to thank you for all
your hard work and effort that you put into coaching. I know Josh
learned a lot from you and really respected you. And because of
what he learned while playing with you and his high school coach I
know that it helped him be the player he is. Just wanted to drop
you a line and say thank you.

Hey Thad,
Kyle hit a home run over the center field fence at
last
nights game!!!!!! It was a
great moment!!!!!! He
was shaking he was so excited! Then he tried so hard to hit
a home run again he struck out :( He was the catcher last night
and he actually looked and did really good, he got a guy out at
home, no bad throws, I was impressed! I just had to tell you,
but let Kyle tell you on Thursday!

Jordan will be
graduating in a month. He signed in the early signing period (November)
with
Delta State University in Cleveland MS. DSU is a powerhouse DII
school steeped in rich baseball tradition and Jordan felt it was the
right fit for him.
We are certain that Jordan's
participation in the
Texas Heat Athletics program gave him exceptional coaching,
skills, confidence and visibility in the baseball arena. Through his
exposure at college venues organized by Thad, Jordan was introduced to
Texas Rangers scout Buzzy
Keller who invited him to the coveted AREA CODE tryouts. This
event alone allowed him to showcase his skills to over 25 colleges along
with the Rangers scouts. Jordan also received scholarship offers from
several other colleges/universities which had seen Jordan at events
arranged by Coach Rhea. In the world of baseball it is essential to be
"seen" and Coach Rhea does his best to organize venues to showcase his
players abilities. This could be driving a group of athletes to private
tryouts, arranging multiple tournaments at Universities, Colleges and
Junior Colleges, or putting in a good word with a pro scout.
Coach Rhea truly loves
the game of baseball and wants his players to achieve their
dreams of playing
the game at a higher level.

Coach Thad
has been a tremendous inspiration for me throughout the years.
He has gotten me to my goal of playing baseball at the
collegiate level. Throughout my High School years I played
Summer ball for Coach Thad and when I had a chance to play for
him my Senior Year in High School I jumped at the chance.
He coached me at Shiner St. Paul my Senior
year in High School. He worked hard with me on my
mechanics, and every aspect of the game including the mental
part. Because of him I have become a better player physically
and mentally and now I am using these skills at the Collegiate
level. I mention Coach Thad's program to everyone who will
listen because I know that he has the ability and the knowledge
to help any kid because he loves baseball and he motivates his
players to reach the next level of their career. I appreciate
everything that he has done for me. I plan to come back
and Coach a team for him this summer to get a chance to continue
working with and learning from Coach Thad while getting a chance
to give back to the program.

Jordan and Tyler played for Thad at another facility
and when Thad left we followed him to his new endeavor, Texas Heat
Athletics. Thad is very passionate about the game, and his players. He
emphasizes proper exercise and stretching for his players to prevent
injuries. Thad is very diligent in working on mechanics and has honed
Jordan and Tyler's hitting skills and confidence. Thad organizes venues to
showcase his players talents. The 18U team played at multiple College and
University Campuses this fall and the younger team faced good competition in
the Austin and Houston areas. Thad's previous experience at the collegiate
and professional levels provides true insight to the game of baseball as
well as the scouting and recruiting processes.

Our son, Jason Staff, played summer baseball on the
Texas Heat 18u team this past summer. We were truly impressed with the
instruction and training he received from Thad. We are so thankful that
Jason was able to play for Thad and feel it has helped him tremendously this
season in high school. Jason also took private lessons from Thad in pitching
and hitting and we definitely see the improvement. I can also see that he
has more confidence at the plate and pitching. My husband has also been
telling others about the hitting lessons and how they helped our son, trying
to encourage some of our other friend's to take their sons to Thad to get
their timing, swings and other hitting techniques improved. It definitely
was well worth the time and money that we invested and Jason is already
looking forward to playing again for Thad this summer. He is a Junior in
high school and he really wants to play college baseball. With Thad's
instruction and expertise, we hope that Jason will accomplish this goal.
Thad's dedication, caring and experiences at the professional level carry
over into his practices and games and we are thankful that Jason has been
able to be a part of this team.
Thanks again Thad for everything,
